Irena and Trent were married at Mudbrick Vineyard & Restaurant on Waiheke Island, New Zealand.
Mudbrick is one of those rare venues where everything feels quietly refined, never forced. The food is exceptional, and the view stretches out across the ocean and wider Waiheke landscape in a way that almost stops you mid sentence. On the day, the sky stayed overcast and a fine mist drifted in and out, softening the edges of everything and giving the whole place a gentle, dreamlike feel.
As their wedding photographer, I documented the day as it unfolded slowly, without hurry in a mix of digital and 35mm film. Guests settled in easily, conversations lingered, and nothing felt rushed or overly arranged. It was an atmosphere where you’re simply allowed to be there, fully present, taking it all in.
